Great Saturday night Smooth tune.
Seahawks, purveyors of “Psychedelic Yacht Rock, deck Shoegaze, hazy beach pop vibration and marina drone” are playing at The London Fields Pub 24th September. Should be a bit of a must see.
Electric Elephant is a fantastic festival in Croatia. Curated by the Unabombers out of Manchester, it hosts some of the best talent out there from the disco/balearic/yachtrock/re-edit revival scene, all under the amazing adriatic sun. To celebrate, one of their number has created this awesome mix, full of smooth musical moments under the guise of ‘Salty Yacht Disco’. There are some absolute stonkers here. Check it out.
Cruising a massive collection of smooth music I recently discovered I can across this monster Yacht Rock groove. Which sounds like the kitchen sink of production has been thrown at it… Indulge. Airplay.

What has inspired Really Really Smooth Music? Well Yacht Rock of course. It was started by the guys at Channel 101 waaay back in 2005 and as the cult of the show has grown, so has the rise in interest in this musical genre.
