Three titans of smooth come together for this hyper obscure Italian soundtrack. Together? (From what it looks like, a very forgettable film) drafted in Bacharach, who’s career had yet to ascend to it’s Arthur fuelled re-birth, with the king of smooth vocals Michael McDonald.Add in another 50’s/60’s vet experiencing a 70’s rebirth; Paul Anka, and you’re talking about a seriously hyper-charged emotional vocal throwdown.

Check this AMAZING mix from the talented boys of Jensen Sportag. Signed to the CASCINE label, Sportag have released one EP that accompanies the mix. (Get that bit of action HERE) Or you can follow their Tumblr HERE,

The music itself is a great mix of Smooth/Electro/80’s Soul/90’s R&B/Yacht-type-ness but doesn’t wear it’s retro smooth influences too strongly. As amalgam, they come up with something quite unique, and super smooth to boot. The Sportag guys (along with the whole Cascine crew), are ones to watch for sure.
